The Windy Waves Bed and Breakfast Suite is located in its own private wing of a new, architecturally designed beach house with panoramic views to the sea and over the local beach community. The suite is spacious and the bathroom includes a spa bath and separate shower.

Enjoy a quiet environment and easy walks to the beach, Hydrabad shipwreck, the forest and two cafes. If you like the outdoors there's plenty to do here. You can't beat an early evening walk on the beach as the sun is setting. We're part of the Nature Coast, but round here we like to call it the sunset coast.

Many local attractions are located close by in Shannon, Foxton, Levin and the Kapiti Coast. We are located just 5 minutes off State Highway 1, 10 minutes from Levin and 40 minutes from Palmerston North - an ideal stop over when travelling to or from the Cook Strait Ferry.

Local Activities:

Surf casting is a popular early evening activity on Waitarere Beach- just as the tide is turning is the peak time to fish for snapper, gurnard and kahawai. The forest provides great entertainment for either walking or cycling. A Bowling Green is just across the road and Tennis Court just over the hill. But if you prefer a more leisurely activity, we have provided a good selection of books or how about relaxing in the spa bath with a glass of wine.
