Located within the central business district, and near to Parliament and the Lambton Quay shopping area of Wellington, the Wellesley Boutique Hotel features old-world charm in a convenient location. Guest rooms are spacious, inviting and individually decorated to match the style of the period.
The Wellesley Boutique Hotel building when constructed in 1925 - 26, was the pre-eminent building in the Georgian style in Wellington, a major work of the architect, William Gray Young. It was awarded an Institute of Architects Gold Medal in 1932. It has remained little changed to the present day, with all major internal spaces in near original condition and displaying the highest level of craftsmanship in fittings and finishes.
