Just minutes from the Hokianga Harbour and Tasman Sea, the Lodge offers exclusive, private accommodation for those seeking the unique New Zealand experience and provides a serene base from which to explore the beauty and history of the Hokianga. Your hosts, Candy and Rawiri, live out of sight, about 200m away, ready to cater exclusively to your needs. There are vegetable gardens and on-site hunting, fishing charters, boat cruises, Maori culture experiences, guided night tours to the ancient kauri forest, birdwatching, walks, geological wonders and art trails.

The Lodge is on the Waiotemarama Gorgre Scenic Loop Drive, 5 minutes from the Opononi Wharf, 5 minutes from the Waiotemarama Kauri Bush Track, 20 minutes to the Waipoua Forest and 10 minutes to the open Tasman Sea coast. Activities include: sandboarding, harbour cruises, fishing, hunting, horse trekking, Maori cultural experiences, glowworms, hiking, art trails and more. We're 4 hours drive from Auckland.
