The Old School House is situated just north of Mount Somers, Mid Canterbury, on Highway 72, also known as the scenic route, 80 minutes from Christchurch, 30 minutes from Ashburton and 20 minutes from Methven, and is surrounded by established trees, orchard, beautiful cottage gardens and the breathtaking views of Mt Hutt, Mt Somers and the other mountains of the Southern Alps.

Complementing the scenery is a beautifully appointed separate accommodation unit, with a queen sized bed, separate lounge, toilet and shower and tea/coffee making facilities (No TV). Breakfast and evening meals are available on request in the dining room of the Old School House. This allows visitors to have their own space but yet have all the facilities close at hand for a quiet and peaceful stay.
