“The Cottage” is located in the heart of Waikato. A 10 minute drive to Cambridge township where you will find a variety of shops, café and restaurants. Just under an hour's drive you can visit Rotorua, Tauranga or Waitomo Caves (popular tourist locations). Cambridge Golf Course is 5 minutes away and the famous Hobbiton movie set is only 20 minutes’ drive. Hamilton City -30 minutes' drive.

‘The Cottage’ is located in the heart of the Waikato region. Lake Karapiro is at your doorstep. Whether you are interested in water-skiing, rowing, kayaking, trout fishing or enjoying a cruise on the lake they are all there for you. This area has many beautiful walks thought bush and farm land the most famous being the Maungatautari Ecological Island. If you are interested in antiques, farmer markets, cafes or restaurants then Cambridge and Tirau are a must to visit. The famous Hobbiton Movie set and Farm Tours are 20 minutes’ drive away. Cambridge is famous for horse breeding so whether you prefer a tour though a local horse stud, visit the New Zealand Horse Magic Show or ride on a wagon pulled by magnificent Clydesdale horses there is plenty to do and see. If golf is your hobby you will be spoilt for choice with 5 golf courses within 15 minutes’ drive. Other nearby attractions includes Black Water Rafting, Glow Worm Caves, Maori Cultural Events or visiting beautiful New Zealand beaches.
If you use the cottage as your base then you will be an hour from Rotorua, Taupo, Mount Maunganui, the Coromandel peninsular and many beaches; all world class tourist attractions.
