Skip's Place is a casual 2-bedroomed cottage in an enchanting bush setting. Enjoy a beautiful outlook to old rimu trees and native reserve with thriving birdlife. Skip's is a 2 minute picturesque walk to the sea at Paterson Inlet, a World Heritage site, and 15 mins walk to our main township, Halfmoon Bay (we will transfer you and your luggage up the hill, and down again at the end of your stay). Skip's has all mod cons, is very quiet and is visited daily by kaka parrots. Your hosts live next door and are more than happy to book activities for you or provide any help or information. Skip's is perfect for families with kids, there is a tv, stereo, games and toys, and they love the big bunk bed.

Local Activities:

Skip's is 15 mins walk from Halfmoon Bay ferries, plane, shop, PO, restaurants, DOC visitor centre, the pub and the wharf where fishing and kiwi spotting trips depart from. It is on the Golden Bay side of the island and just 2 mins from Paterson Inlet where you can fish, launch a boat, hire kayaks, gather mussels, catch water taxis to Freshwater or Ulva Island or start many lovely day tramps. Golf course not far away at Ringaringa.
