The Poenamo Hotel is conveniently located just of the Northern Motorway, 10 minutes drive from the City Centre, right next to the Takapuna Golf course and close to Takapuna beach. Within minutes of the hotel you'll find the North Shore Events Centre, North Harbour Stadium and the Bruce Mason Centre where all major concerts, sports games and conventions on the North shore take place.
Since new ownership in November 2004, the Poenamo is undertaking an on going refurbishment programme. Our hotel restaurant has re-opened under the new management as "The Backyard" restaurant/bar, also onsite we have "Gengys Mongolian BBQ Buffet". Or For a relaxing drink you may enjoy "The Lounge" or for the big game you might prefer "Pats Garage" which offers full TAB and gaming machine facilities. The Poenamo is an icon on the North Shore and is an ideal accommodation provider for groups.

Child Policy: All children are welcome. We have child friendly restaurants onsite, an outdoor childrens playground and port a cots are available on request (subject to availability)
Max Child Age: 10 (Baby cot is not available)
Car Parking: All rooms have an allocated car park in front of the room free of charge. Upon check in you will be given a "parking permit" which you must display on your dashboard to avoid towage. There is also a large carpark at the end of this drive way (suitable for buses & trucks) & 3 others neighbouring the property of similar size.
Checkin Time: 2:00 PM Checkout Time: 10:00 AM
Checkin Procedure: Upon check in your credit card details will be requested. This is for security purposes only. If you prefer not to provide your credit card details, a $50 bond (per night staying) will be taken for any extra costs. If no incidentals occur, it will be returned upon check-out.
