Orchard View Cottage - Self-catering accommodation in a peaceful, rural setting. Just 15 minutes away from the sandy beaches of Kaiteriteri, Marahau and the stunning Abel Tasman National Park.
Situated on twenty acres of private land consisting of orchard, pasture, native bush and riverside, the cottage overlooks the kiwi fruit orchard with pine forest to the rear.
Two bedrooms sleep four people in comfort. The main bedroom has a queen size bed and the second bedroom has two single bunk beds. Freshly laundered linen is provided. The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, microwave, toaster, large fridge/freezer etc. and in the living/dining area there is Sky TV, CD player and phone. A double sofa bed in the lounge sleeps a fifth guest or provides an alternative to the bunk beds. A port-a-cot and high chair are available on request.
The large sunny deck is furnished with table, chairs and gas BBQ for outdoor living and it is a great place to relax, enjoy the view and listen to the abundance of native birdsong. A two minute stroll brings you to the river where you can fish for trout or feed the ducks.
Local activities include fishing, walking, sea kayaking, wind surfing, snorkeling, horse riding, golf and tennis. Wine and pottery trails are also close by. The Riwaka Resurgence and Crystal Pool are an easy walk or bike ride away.
The shops, restaurants and cafe's of Motueka are 15 minutes away.
The property itself is home to various small farm animals, dogs, cats, horses, llamas, chickens, turkeys, ducks and peacocks, an ideal place for the children who are welcome to help at feeding time.
There is plenty of off-road space at Orchard View to park your own boat, campervan or cars.

Orchard View is ideally situated for daily visits to the beaches of Kaiteriteri and Marahau, or for exploring the Abel Tasman National Park, all of which are around 15 minutes away, or take a longer drive "over the hill" to Golden Bay and Farewell Spit. Local activities include sea kayaking, snorkeling, diving, swimming, tramping, Eco tours, fishing, horse riding, tennis and golf and the local wine and craft trails make a good alternative to a day at the beach. The township of Motueka is also a 12-15 minute drive away with its shops, banks and 18 hole golf course.
