Our four acres supports various animals (including a friendly dog) and borders the Buller River with its swimming holes and fishing access and is surrounded by mountains.
We can provide home-cooked evening meals on request; alternatively, the friendly cafes in town are a short pleasant walk away.

NZ's longest swingbridge is across the Upper Buller Gorge, across which you'll find gold panning and jetboat rides.
Day trips include Westport, through the Lower Buller Gorge to Pancake Rocks; Abel Tasman; Nelson Lakes and the hot springs at Maruia.
Return to your accommodation for a cold beer on the verandah or a wine in front of the cosy log fire.

The area around Murchison is renowned for it's trout fishing; there are two rafting companies and the NZ kayak school is across the road from Murchison Lodge. Other local activities include jet-boating, gold panning at NZ's longest swing-bridge, a 9-hole golf course, bush walks and mountain biking. (Free use of our bikes and clubs.)
