GRANDVUE - on the hills above Picton offers a grand view of the town & harbour across the Queen Charlotte Sound from spacious, quality accommodation. A place of rest & relaxation set in a secluded garden with an abundance of flowers & shrubs, enjoy the visits from the bird life, tuis flit through the trees or bellbirds with their songs. Easy access (a 5 minute walk) to the water front where many of the boats that cruise the Queen Charlotte Sound depart & the town centre with its various restaurants & cafes. Close proximity to the Interisland or Bluebridge ferries, Trans Coastal train,Intercity Coaches or Sounds Air makes Grandvue an ideal stopping off point for those arriving or departing Picton, embarking on or returning from the Queen Charlotte Track walkway.

Breakfast is served in our conservatory from which to savour an awesome, panoramic view.
Russell & Rosalie are experienced hosts & enjoy meeting people.
Russell is retired (an ex secondary teacher & long haul bus driver) & now enjoys boating, fishing & gardening. Rosalie has her own book-keeping business & is an enthusiastic quilter, loves cooking & some gardening.

Dolphin Watch Ecotours offer a wide choice, a visit to Motuara Island for a nature lover's walk, see the marine wildlife while travelling in comfort on their catamaran, experience a birdwatchers expedition or swim with the dolphins. Go kayaking with Marlborough Sounds Adventure Company who also hire mountain bikes should you wish to explore the many tracks around the area.
