Rabbit Island beach and safe rivers for swimming are 10 minutes away. Corru Gate is central for exploration and adventure. Three national parks are within an hour for climbing, tramping, skiing rafting and kayaking.

Hoglund's Glass, World of Wearable Art, and most Nelson potteries are right here; Rabbit Island and Kina Golf course - 10 minutes; Kaiteriteri Beach - 30; superb swimming rivers 10-20.
