Whangaparaoa Peninsula offers a wide range of activities within a few minutes of Coastal Views Retreat. There are three golf courses on the Peninsular. Gulf Harbour Marina offers charter fishing and yacht charters. Direct pick up from the property is possible for heli fishing, sightseeing, restaurant and vineyard trips. 12 beaches surround the peninsular making kayaking and rock fishing a favourite pass time. The local walks to the beaches and marina and the walking tracks in the Shakespear Regional Park take in spectacular views. The bird sanctuary on Tiritiri Matangi Island is reached by ferry which picks up at the Gulf Harbour Marina. The ferry service also connects Whangaparaoa to Auckland, Waiheke and Rangitoto islands.
