Chy-An-Dowr (House by the Water), Boutique accommodation located on scenic Otago Peninsula, halfway between the albatross and penguin colonies. Our character 1920s home with its harbourside location has panoramic views and is situated directly across the road from a small beach. We offer you quality accommodation and warm hospitality.

We have a choice of either our
Canterbury Suite with a king-size bed and an ensuite bathroom; Bathrobes, tea/coffee, TV, fridge, microwave. Relax in the sunroom and enjoy the wonderful harbour views.

Or Rosemary Retreat, our self contained apartment on the garden side of our house. Rosemary Retreat has a sitting room with bed settee, kitchenette, bathroom and separate bedroom with king-size bed.

The Otago Peninsula, well known for its Royal Albatross colony, yellow-eyed penguins and seals, has many walkways, secluded beaches and wonderful views. Larnach Castle, the Marine Studies Aquarium and Glenfalloch Gardens are nearby, as are the many local arts and crafts studios. Our accommodation is smokefree.
