Graham and Donna welcome you to our seaside retreat. Our fenced section with a bach style cabin, cookhouse and sleepouts is opposite the entrance to the beach. Shop for your provisions in Waipukurau and then drive southeast via Porangahau road, to Porangahau Beach. The 50min trip is tar sealed to the gate. Use the cabin, decks and seperate cookhouse for romantic back to nature stays or add the numbers and utilise the sleepouts, tent sites (your equipment)and extra shower block. Porangahau Beach (Te Paerahi) has 13kms of wide sandy beach, popular for swimming, surfing, surfcasting, boat fishing and land yachting. The beach settlement has a 9 hole golf course, tennis courts and summer dairy/marine shop. Porangahau township, 7kms inland also has a dairy where you can top up on provisions and boasts a friendly historic hotel with a great restaurant for those special brunches and dinners in great surroundings. The beach is not patrolled so swimming only at low tide in quiet sea recommended.

Walk to golf course, general store, in season blow cart hire and fishing charter. Beach at front gate. Drive 5 mins to township for all year cafe and restaurant at the friendly hotel, dairy opposite. Drive 50mins north to Waipukurau for extended shopping and supplies.
