Located just 55 minutes from Auckland CBD and International Airport in the heart of the Waitakere ranges close to Karekare and Piha Beaches, Lone Kauri Lodge is an ideal base for exploring the many walking tracks in the ranges, relaxing after a day at the beach or just getting away from the city.

If you are from overseas then relax with us after your long journey before setting off to see the rest of our wonderful country or reflect on your visit before the trip home.

Our guest accommodation comprises two well appointed bedrooms one with queen bed and the other with twin king singles (converts to kng), each with ensuite shower and toilet, and a spacious guest lounge.

We are pet and particularly dog friendly.

Activities:

We are approximately 8 kms (a 10 to 15 minute drive) from both Piha with its renowned surf beach and Karekare where the Piano was filmed. Lone Kauri Lodge is an ideal location from which to explore the many walking tracks in the Waitekere Ranges or visit the vineyards of to the North West of Auckland.
