If you prefer affordable self-catered accommodation, then Dorset Apartments are your home away from home. Catering for short or medium term vacation or business travellers, these one and two bedroom budget guest apartments are located in a city centre 1920’s character house.

They are available seasonally, from December until April each year. Just a short walk from Dorset House and right in the central city on Peterborough St, Dorset Apartments guest accommodation are a great option for your summer stay in Christchurch.

Dorset Apartments combine the benefits of a central city location with the peace of a quiet side-street. They are just a few minutes walk from Cathedral Square, the heart of the city, as well as restaurants, bars, cafes, shops, the Christchurch Town Hall, Convention Centre and Casino.

The apartments contain everything you will need for a comfortable stay, including all furniture, TV & DVD player, queen-sized beds, all linen, a fully equipped kitchen (or kitchenette in the one-bedroom apartments), spotlessly clean bathroom, laundry facilities, towels and heating. Off-street parking is available for one vehicle per apartment.

Guests at Dorset Apartments may make use of the facilities at Dorset House, including travel desk services, lounge and pool table, noticeboards, and the assistance of our friendly staff.

Cheaper than a motel, and just a few dollars more than a hostel room, Dorset Apartments are available for stays of two nights or longer. They provide affordable value for money and clean, comfortable accommodation in the heart of Christchurch city.

Tariff:

1 bedroom apartment - $95 per night for two. One extra adult - $25 per night.

2 bedroom apartment - $135 per night for four. Two extra adults, $25 each per night.

Capacity Details:

Sleeps 2-6
1 bedroom apartment sleeps 2 in 1 double bedroom with queen bed. $95 per night. Up to 1 extra adult on sofa bed in the lounge - $25 per night. Please note there is no separate dining area in the one-bedroom apartments.

2 bedroom apartment sleeps 4 in 2 double bedrooms with queen beds. $135 per night. Up to 2 extra guests at $25 each, per night.

High chairs and cots available on request.

Availability:

There is limited space available over the Christmas and New Year period. Please enquire.

Holiday dates: Christmas bookings must include the night of 25 December. New Years bookings must include 31 Dec/1 Jan. There will be no check-outs on these dates.

Restrictions:

Smoking strictly outside only.

No pets.

Staircase access to upstairs apartments - you may wish to request a ground floor apartment if you have young children.

Activities:

Christchurch is a busy city, with heaps to do. It's home to summer festivals and sports, and there is always something happening.

Christchurch's Summertimes Festival runs from November until March, and offers a host of free outdoor concerts in Hagley Park, including a Christmas concert, and Classical Fireworks concert, city-sponsored live music, and more. Keep your eye out for free theatre in the botanic gardens, the popular ghost tours at the Arts Centre, local markets, exhibits and summer events.

The World Buskers Festival happens every January, with international acts on the streets of the city. In February, view the carpets of flowers at the Cathedral. Christchurch comes alive in the summer with a huge range of free events - make the most of what's happening!
